- AI Agents & Business Automation
AI agents that do the work, connected to the tools you already use.
Agentic applications, intelligent workflows and integrations that take real tasks off your team's plate: lead handling, reporting, reconciliation, customer communication, research and more. Designed around your operation, not a demo.

What an AI agent means here.
An AI agent is software that can pursue a goal by reading information, making decisions and taking actions across your systems, within rules you define. Business automation is the broader practice of removing manual work from a process, which today combines traditional workflow automation with AI agents that can handle judgment, language and unstructured data.
Extra Medium designs, builds and integrates AI agents and automations for marketing, sales, operations and reporting. Every build connects to the platforms you already run, so the agent becomes part of the operation rather than another tab.
You will recognize yourself, or you won’t.
- Your team spends hours a week moving data between tools, chasing follow-ups or assembling reports.
- Leads, tickets or orders wait because a human has to touch every one.
- You want AI in the business but need it governed, measurable and integrated, not experimental.
- You have a specific process in mind and want someone who can build it end to end.
The work, in order.
Map the process
We document the current workflow step by step, including the exceptions people handle by instinct. Agents fail on the exceptions nobody wrote down.
Design the boundaries
What the agent may decide alone, what it escalates, what it logs. Trust is designed in, not hoped for.
Build and integrate
Agents and automations connect to your real systems through APIs and integrations, tested against real data before going live.
Measure hours and outcomes
Time saved, errors reduced, speed to lead, revenue influenced. If it cannot be measured, we did not automate the right thing.

We have built agentic systems for our own products and for the companies we run marketing for: automated reporting that replaces manual monthly decks, creative and research workflows that compress days into hours, and diagnostic agents that read a store's data and rank problems by revenue impact. What we learned is that the technology is the easy part. The hard part is choosing a process that matters, defining the rules of engagement, and integrating deeply enough that the agent has the context to be useful. That is where operators beat pure technologists.
Straight answers.
How can AI agents automate business processes?
By combining the ability to read and write across your systems with the judgment to handle language and unstructured input. Common examples: qualifying and routing inbound leads, drafting personalized follow-ups, reconciling data between ecommerce, finance and CRM, generating weekly performance reports with commentary, monitoring campaigns and flagging anomalies, and answering employee questions from internal documentation.
What is the difference between automation and an AI agent?
Traditional automation follows fixed rules: if this, then that. An AI agent can work toward a goal, interpret messy input, choose among actions and explain what it did. Most real solutions combine both: rules for the predictable parts, agents for the parts that need judgment.
Which platforms can you integrate with?
Anything with an API. Common integrations include Shopify, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, Slack, Gmail and Google Workspace, Notion, Airtable, Stripe and custom databases. We also build custom APIs where none exist.
How do you keep AI agents safe and accurate?
Through explicit permissions, human-in-the-loop approvals for consequential actions, logging, testing against real data, and monitoring after launch. We design the boundaries before we design the agent.
